Nähe des Geliebten

Ich denke dein,
wenn mir der Sonne schimmer
Vom Meere strahlt;
Ich denke dein,
wenn sich des Mondes Flimmer
In Quellen malt.

Ich sehe dich,
wenn auf dem fernen Wege
Der Staub sich hebt,
In tiefer Nacht,

The Hong Kong Photography Series 3: Beyond the Portrait exhibition will be held at the Heritage Museum from July 14 to November 26, illustrating the development of the art form in Hong Kong.

Offering an attractive and charming range of styles and frames of reference, portrait photography allows the photographer to observe the subject with their camera while at the same time instigating a process of analysis, discovery and reflection. What portrait photography reveals goes beyond the boundaries of pure art to reflect certain values of humanity and society, and its meaning within contemporary society has recently become the subject of a more far-reaching discussion.

Following on from The Verve of Light and Shadow and City Flâneur, the museum is now hosting Beyond the Portraitas the third exhibition in its Hong Kong Photography Series. Put together by three prominent photographers and educators in the field, Wong Wo-Bik, Yvonne Lo and Lukas Tam, as guest curators, the exhibition is divided into four categories – 'Portraits of the Society', 'Artistic Portraits', 'Family Portraits' and 'Self Portraits' – including the early studio photos and contemporary works by 18 well-established and up-and-coming artists to illustrate the development of portrait photography in Hong Kong over the last century or so. Incorporating a wide variety of perspectives and an in-depth examination of the topic, the exhibition sets out to stimulate a dialogue with viewers on portrait photography and provoke their thoughts on this often underappreciated art form.

Ada Hung and Liu Ngan-ling (Siu Ding)

In the exhibitions, I like 22 Morning Streets Series most.
Before visit beyond the portrait, I think that it must a big face album show. I don't really believed
nude photo is a best way to present idea of self-portrait. So it really makes me interest to walk around
and see all the photo series.
The exhibition part Siu Ding invited photographers and friends to take pictures for their own, completely open their own privacy, body, life to try in different and innovation ways. She once lived from birth to now twenty-two places which almost spend her life around 30 years.
She not retrieve old clothes have passed, and then photographed to the pure naked fusion of different places in Hong Kong. She also find the city in addition to do not want to alert people who live near there,
the morning state more like un makeup faces, most honest and sincere. So that's why every picture is choose morning to take them.

It is important that these hand made album better present how present are related in a place.
This Album also shows the original feel which is pure. The girl in the picture tell us that when human born, you wear nothing, you are not wearing any cloths when you come from your mother.

Their works embody a different kind of feelings, more surprising is that they are come from Hong Kong and educated by Hong Kong when theygrowth.

[My work Sharing] FYP  -  Mystery of Birth

Our project focuses on the relevancy between installation and the medical field.
It is simulating about the 36 weeks of pregnant in the mother's body after fertilization.

We hope this installation can leave a strong impression to the audiences which let them know the birth of life is very magical and fertilization is the beginning of human life. Now, let us introduce our installation art. There are totally two parts zone A and B. This is a larger installation room with size about 1.8m (W) x 2.3m (L) x 1.8m (H).

Zone A is showing fertilization where is happening next to the ovary. We would like to attract the viewer’s attention, so that we will apply game in small monitor which let the audience know about demonstrating the process of fertilization. At this moment, we will make environment more interactive and give a larger impression to audiences.

Zone B -  There will be a plane rotating in a high speed which 3D models which produced by 3D printer on it. While the plane is rotating, an animation about how baby grows up in mother’s body will be produced. We will add sound effects into it to give more impression and feeling to audiences and the whole process will last for about one minutes. Finally, a baby model will leave from the uterus. At this moment, we will also hope the audience can have an impressive experience and memories in delivering a baby.
